Peggy Mayfield Rated AQ by the National Rifle Association

NRA Gives State Rep Candidate Highest Rating for a Non-Incumbent

(Martinsville, IN)—Candidate for State Representative and Morgan County Clerk Peggy Mayfield announced today her AQ rating by the NRA. It is the highest rating a non-incumbent candidate can receive.

Mayfield is an avid supporter of the 2^nd Amendment.  She is a NRA endowment member, a NRA certified shotgun and rifle instructor, a state champion skeet shooter, and coach of a youth clay target program.

“I have been a lifelong supporter of the NRA and advocate for the 2^nd Amendment as both a sacred right and American tradition,” said Peggy Mayfield. “I am honored to be recognized by the NRA.”

About Peggy Mayfield

Peggy Mayfield, 48, is in her second term as Morgan County Clerk.  During her tenure, Peggy oversaw an annual budget of over half a million dollars and operated under budget every year, returning over $133,000 to the county’s general fund.  She is also an Executive Board Member of the Association of Clerks of Circuit Courts of Indiana and regularly testifies before the General Assembly on issues related to ballot access.

Peggy and her husband Dean are raising four boys and are members of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Martinsville.  They own Mayfield Insurance in Mooresville, a 91 year old family-owned and operated business. Peggy is also a certified rifle and shotgun instructor, enjoys coaching youth clay target programs and serving on the Executive Board of the Boy Scouts of America.
